Hot Springs, Va., OCt. 21st, 1899.

Miss Agnes Smith,
Stratford, Ontario.

Your letter of the 18th inst. reached me here this morning, where I expect to spend about two weeks. If all goes well I shall return to Detroit about October 28th. I shall remain in Detroit one week and then go to New York, and am not likely to return to Detroit from New York until about November 12th to 15th. I name these facts to you in order that you may remain at home as long as you feel it necessary. Everything is going very well at my house. Stevens' wife is taking care of the upstairs work, and if your doctor or family desire you to take additional rest, don't hesitate to do so.

Yours truly,
