sure misunderstand me when I say that I do not see how the information can be compiled without the writer having full access to the several important private collections owned in this country. I should judge from notes recently shown me to Mr. Dowdeswell, of London, that he could give your Club important aid in connection with the catalogue.
As before said, you may count upon me for loaning you what ever I have of Whistler's printed work, outside of the Hayden collection, and after fuller information and consideration I will decide about letting you have the Hayden collection also.
