S. Daniel,
City Guide for South Indie,
Heber Road, Trinchinopoly, India.

Dear Sir:-

Your letter of September 24th is at hand and I am pleased to hear that yourself and family are blessed with good health.
I can readily understand how much the plague in India must have lessened the number of travellers. I hope, however, now that the plague is practically stamped out thatvyou [[that you]] will soon have the usual number of guests to escort throughout your district.
As requested by you, I shall be happy to recommend you to anybody I may meet bound for India.
Colonel Hecker is very well and joins me in best wishes for your continued health and success.

Yours very truly,
Charles L Freer
