Bellinetti,
Courier, Grand Hotel,
Naples, Italy.

My dear Sir: -
A particular friend of mine, Mr. W. K. Bixby, of St. Louis, informed me recently of his intention to sail for Italy on the S.S. "Augusta Victoria" November 4th, and I took pleasure in advising him to cable you to meet him on arrival of the steamer at Naples, and to act as his courier for the four or six weeks which he may spend in your country. This morning I have a letter from him stating that he will cable you immediately.
Now, I want you to take the best of care of Mr.Bixby and his family. I have made an itinerary for him, which you had better ask him to show you on arrival. Look it over, and if you can suggest any changes which will improve it, do not hesitate to name them to Mr.Bixby. You will find him one of the very best men you have ever had to do with and don't fail to strain every point in your power tomake his stay in Italy thoroughly pleasant and beneficial to his health.
When at Sorrento introduce him to Tramentano, and give him the whole Sorrento trip including Capri. While at the latter place show him the Villa Anderson, which since seeing you, Mr. Jerome and I have jointly purchased. Show him also the fine Botticellis at Florence, the Raphaels at Roe, including the [[?]] in the Villa Palazzo. Show him the Villa d'Este and don't forget the secret room in the Naples Museum.
In a general way, I would like you to show him such things as Mr. Jerome and I are both fond of and treat him with the same kind attention and care that you have always shown me.
With best wishes, I am,

Yours truly,
Charles L Freer

PS. Don't forget the white wine of my old friend Palumbo at Ravello and drink it unsparingly while there -
