Mr. A. H. Griffith,
Care Detroit Museum of Fine Arts,
Detroit, Mich.

My dear Mr. Griffith:-

Absence from home has prevented earlier acknowledgment of the receipt of your favor of the 6th instant, and the diploma and medal of the Trans-Mississippi and International Exposition, which came safely. I appreciate the courtesy expressed by the medal and diploma; also your remembrance and kindness, but in accepting them I cannot but feel the very little assistance I found possible to lend to the Omaha Exposition.

Yours very truly,
Charles L Freer
