Hot Springs, Va., Oct. 21st, 1899.

My dear Mr. Bixby:-
Your letter of the 17th inst. reached me here this morning by courtesy of Colonel Hecker, who forwarded the same from Detroit.
The proposition you make concerning the Erie account, if accepted on the part of the Michigan-Peninsular Car Company, would I fear delay final settlement with its stockholders. However, on my return to Detroit about November first, I will be pleased indeed to discuss the matter fully with my associates, and will then write you definitely.
Our little party from Detroit are having a good time at this beautiful spot. We find it not only invigorating and restful, but also very interesting in many other ways.
With best regards,
Yours very truly,

Mr. W. K. Bixby,
