Mr. Wm. A. Field,
Care Northwestern Spring Mattress Co.,
Kenosha, Wisconsin.

Dear Sir:-
On September 21st, 1897, at your request (loaned) you $4500.00, since which time you have paid on the principal $100.00
The interest has been running on until it amounts to $558.33 to November 1st,1899. I must confess to being
somewhat disappointed in hearing nothing from you on the subject, particularly that you have even made no mention of the interest. I would like to close the account
as soon as practicable, and beg to inquire if it will be convenient for you to favor me with a settlement before January first next.
Yours truly,
Charles L Freer
