Dear Sir:- On September 21st, 1897, at your request (loaned) you $4500.00, since which time you have paid on the principal $100.00 The interest has been running on until it amounts to $558.33 to November 1st,1899. I must confess to being somewhat disappointed in hearing nothing from you on the subject, particularly that you have even made no mention of the interest. I would like to close the account as soon as practicable, and beg to inquire if it will be convenient for you to favor me with a settlement before January first next. Yours truly, Charles L Freer
