Detroit, Michigan,
November 21st,1899.

Mr. Wm. A. Field,
Care The Simmons Manuf'g Co.,
Kenosha, Wis.

My dear Sir:-

Your letter of the 20th instant is received and noted. I am sorry to learn that the Welding Company venture ended so unfortunately. If you can pay the interest on January first, I shall be glad to have it. As to the principal, I cannot at the present moment state how long it will be convenient for me to let it run, nor can I state whether or not partial payments on account will answer my purpose.

Yours very truly,
Charles L Freer
