Detroit, Michigan,
December 4th,1899.

Mr. F. S. Church,
1512 Broadway,
New York City.

My dear Mr. Church:-
Permit me the pleasure of introducing to you Mr. Yoshida and Mr. Takagawa, two young Japanese artists, who have spent the last five or six weeks in this city, during which time they have exhibited their work at the Detroit Museum of Art, and which exhibition has proved very successful. They came to me well recommended and I have been pleased indeed to know them and to have seen their work, and during the time they are in this country, I am anxious to have them meet some of our best artists. If you will kindly give them such information and aid as you can, I shall be under renewed obligations to you.
Yours very truly,
Charles L. Freer
