Detroit, Michigan,
December 4th,1899.

Mr. T. W. Dewing,
Room 608, #939 8th Ave.,
New York City.

My dear Mr.Dewing:-
Permit me the pleasure of introducing to you Mr. Yoshida and Mr. Takagawa, two young Japanese artists who have spent the last five or six weeks in Detroit, during which time they have held an exhibition of their work at the Detroit Museum of Art, which exhibition has proved successful. The young gentlemen came to me very well recommended and I have been pleased indeed to know them and to have seen their work, and during the time they are in this country, I am anxious to have them meet some of our best artists. If you will kindly give them such information and assistance as you can, I shall be under renewed obligations to you.

Sincerely yours,
Charles L. Freer
