Detroit, Michigan,
December 4th,1899.

Mr. D. W. Tryon,
226 W.59th Street,
New York City.

My dear Mr.Tryon:-
Permit me the pleasure of introducing to you Mr. Yoshida and Mr. Takagawa, two young Japanese artists, who have spent the last five or six weeks in Detroit, during which time they have exhibited their work at the Detroit Museum of Art with much success. The young gentlemen came to me very well recommended and I have been pleased indeed to have known them and seen their work, and during the time they are in this country I desire to have them meet some of our leading artists. If you will
be kind enough to give them such information and assistance as you can, I shall indeed be obliged to you.

Yours very sincerely,
Charles L. Freer
