490 397 Detroit, Michigan, December 15th,1899. Mr. R. E. Moore, 33 Union Square, New York City. My dear Mr. Moore:- Your two recent letters reached me after an absence of some days spent in New York, Boston and the Berkshires, and I am glad to know that your business prospers and that you have made such successful sale of several pieces of pottery mentioned: really you are to be congratulated. While in the east I picked up several good things, but have not yet had time to examine them here. The weather is cool and delightful and I am glad indeed to be back in Detroit for a few days. Yours very truly, Charles L. Freer
