My dear Mr.Morris:-
I have your courteous letter of the 12th instant, and in reply I regret to inform you that unfortunately I cannot comply with your request this year. 

In accordance with promises already made I am obliged to hold my Whistlers for one or two forthcoming exhibition, the dates of which have not yet been definitely determined, but I believe they will,when fixed, conflict with the time of your exhibition. 

Regretting my inability to accommodate you, and with kindest regards believe me,
