My dear Mr. McBride:-

I have completed the selection of Christmas gifts for all of the gentleman whose names I have thus far heard from both from you and Mr. Eaton, and I beg to enclose an invoice herewith,which will describe the articles accurately. The presents called for on the invoice have been forwarded to the following named gentleman:-

Mr. A. M. Waitt, Mr. F. D. Underwood, Mr. Robert Miller, Mr.Alfred Walter, Mr.Allan Bourn, Mr. F. D. Bronner, and Mr. A. W. Mitchell.

In addition to the above, presents have been sent to John K. Cowan and T. G. Shaughnessey, the same having been purchased from Bunkio Matsuki, as per invoice already rendered. A present has also been sent to Mr. James  McCrea, the article being shown on the invoice of Yamanaka and Company of Boston, which was mailed to you recently. Mr. Crone's name has been marked off my list entirely, and after hearing from you concerning Mr. Middleton, I marked his name off, taking it for granted you would send books to him direct.

In making selections from my own collection, I have aimed to choose such as were of high artistic merit and at the same time things which I believed the recipients would appreciate. A description has been sent with each article and the invoice will show in the margin whose
