Detroit, Michigan,
January 2nd, 1900.

Messrs. William McMillan and W.K.Bixby,
National Rolling Stock Co.,
616 Lincoln Trust Building,
St. Louis, Mo.

Gentlemen -
I have your letter of December 29th in reference to the stock of your company to be issued in connection with the Missouri Pacific Trust, and beg to say in reply that I would be glad indeed to take some of the stock on the terms offered were it not for the fact that I have at present no idle funds. Later in the year I may have some money to invest and if at the time some of the shares are still unsold I would be glad to correspond with you more fully on the matter. Of course there is not question about the security.

Yours very truly,
Charles L Freer
