Yours of the 4th instant is received and noted. I am glad that Mr. Calloway is pleased with the picture. It is a very important work of art, and will when better known, reflect much credit upon the givers. Mr. Dewing's studio price for such paintings is $1500.00, and you may of course, when ready, send him check. His address is T.W.Dewing, 939 Eight Avenue, Room 608, New York City.
You will doubtless hear from Mr. Merrill later, or perhaps not until you see him personally.
