Dear Sir:-
I have shipped to you to-day in care of the Art Institute, via American Express, charges prepaid, 107 Whistler lithographs and 94 Whistler etchings, the same being loaned to the Caxton Club for their forthcoming exhibition.

I have insured them while in transit for $7,500.00 and I will thank you to place this amount of insurance on my Whistler lithographs and etchings from the time they arrive in Chicago until I receive them again in Detroit. Bill for express charges, packing and insurance will be forwarded to you on Monday, the 22nd inst.

I enclose herewith the following memoranda:-
1st- Inst of whistler's Etchings Loaned to the Caxton Club.
2nd- Inst of whistler's Lithographs Loaned to the Caxton Club.

from etchings and lithographs are contained in four number portfolios, and I enclose four lists showing the contents of each portfolio.

As soon as you receive these etchings and lithographs, will you be good enough to send me the Caxton Club's receipt there-
