Mr. Wm. F. Jarvis,
Care of Waldorf-Astoria,
New York, N. Y.

My dear Billy:-
Your valued letter, with contents as mentioned, came to hand this morning, and as I am to be at the office for a short time only, I will not have time to answer fully. This afternoon, I start for New York, stopping at Kingston en route. I shall probably reach the Waldorf on Saturday or Monday next. On Monday, Col. Hecker will arrive there from Washington, and we expect to spend two or three days together in New York, when we hope to see you, and discuss matters fully with you.

With best regards,
Yours very sincerely,
Charles L. Freer

My kindest regards to Mr. Jarvis
