Colonel: 
I am directed by Major Gen. Howard to inform you that it is his desire that the lease made by Mr. Edward Hartley to Jas. H. White, of the farm situated six miles north of Eastville, formerly owned by James Williams, should be respected. His lease is from the 1st day of January 1866 until the 1st day of January 1867. If any hospitals are being erected on this Place, they will be removed elsewhere.  A reasonable time for removal of patients, if any are there, will be allowed.
