Elizabeth City County Virginia
April 7, 1866.

To General S C Armstrong
Supt. G. Division R.F.&A.L.

General,
I respectfully present this my amended application together with the original papers, filed in my first application for restoration of my land in the County of York. Known as "Kings Creek" and described in said original application I make this in consequence of a letter written you by Capt Bates a.a.g. to you under date of apr 2 1866. and verbal instructions to me from Colonel O Brown Ass Sup. RF&AL Virginia

I am willing that the bureau should retain this place for teh present year 1866, paying therefore one fourth of the crops made on the land. The place to be put in my possession at the end of the present year.

The farm to be cultivated in a proper manner and no waste of timber or other property to be permitted.

I now exhibit to you my original pardon and request you to make that endorsement in your endorsement of this case. Col Brown informs me that he is satisfied with the evidence of my title and the said letter to you proves this fact

Very respectfully
Th' D Warren

My address is
Edenton
N.C.
