I have received the pardon of the Prest. of the U.S in proof of which I hand you herewith a certified copy of the pardon itself. I have the honor to inform you that I am the owner of the real estate fronting 54 feet respectively on Capitol & Broad Streets at their intersection with 10th Street in this city, which has been (with the building thereon) in the use and possession of the authorities of the U.S. Since the 3rd April last. I understand it to be now under especial control of your Bureau. Enclosed is a certificate [[strikethrough]] that [[/strikethrough]] from the Clerk of the Court of Hustings of this city, that the title to this property is vested in myself. The certificate of U.H. Barry, Clerk &c proves that it has never been libelled. I respectfully ask, Colo: that this property may now be restored to me. The benefits which would accrue
