"A" Office Supt. R.F. & A.L. 1st Dist of Virginia Norfolk Va March 10th 1866 Mr. J.H. Parker Your letter in regard to Mrs. Tunnels papers is at hand. I find on referring to my books that the papers have been returned to Col Brown's office by Lt Hite. No order for the restoration of said property is on file in my office. I returned papers the last time they were sent to your county for some additional papers from Mrs. Tunnel, but no notice was taken of them by her, but she made application to higher authority and on an order of Col Brown I obtained them again of Lt. Hite and returned them to Col Brown, since which time I have heard nothing from them. When Mrs. Wise was talking with me, I had an impression that I had sent an order to Lt Hite to restore the property but that was erroneous. I am sir very respectfully Your Obdt Serv't A.S. Flagg Capt & Supt A true copy This. W. Upshur N.P.
Transcription Notes:
