Dear Sir, 
Mrs. Rosetta W. Tunnell requests of you the favor to see Colonel O. Brown and make some explanations for her in reference to the lands of her husband, John W. Tunnell decd., which among others, were reported by Mr. Hartley, former agent of the Treasury department, as liable to confiscation on account of her son, William S. Tennell, having been in the Confederate army. Her papers, applying for the restoration of the land, are the preserves, in the hands of Col. O. Brown. She has leased from Capn A. S. Flagg, then they were returned to this county for some additional papers from her , having been forwarded to Lieut. Hite for that purpose, but no notice was taken of them by her, and that he, Capn Flagg, obtained there from Lieut. Hite and forwarded them to Col. O. Brown, since which time he has heard nothing from them. Mrs. Tunnell says that she has always been ready and anxious to furnish any additional papers or information, in her power to furnish, than may be desired in reference to her
