Respectfully returned to Brvt. Brig. General Max Woodhull AAA General. General Howard has directed buildings belonging to the Quartermaster's Department, in charge of Officers of the Bureau, to be taken down removed, rebuilt &c. for the benefit of schools and other purposes. In all such cases the office in whose district they were situated has continued to be responsible for the property.
