Der Sir we the [[strikethrough]] det [[/strikethrough]] destressted members of the second affrican church are very poor at this time, and are trying to make every effort we can to get our house up again. We understand the goverment is about to dispose of some old lumber, we concluded with ourselves to lay our complaints before you and the public and ask at your hands your asistance in giving us some of the lumber at the Camps you are about to puld down we would be highly faivored by you if we could fine that much simptha in your Breast toward us
