The granting of this request is morever nearly certain to draw with it other applications involving difficulty and detriment for government - promoting suits  and attachments against other abandoned estates which have until quite recently been believed to be unburdened with any bona fide debts. Two instances of this sort have already occurred, & more will be quite likely to follow.

On the whole it may be respectfully suggested that the just right and interests of the Government might suffer and those of the creditors of the Messr Wise would not be promoted by granting the request of Mr. Blackstone.
