Virginia:

At a court held for the county of Accomack, at the court House thereof, on the 26th day of June, A.D. one thousand eight hundred and sixty five.

A paper writing purporting to be the last will and testament of George D. Wise deceased, together with a codicil thereto annexed, was produce in court by John J. Wise, the executor therein named, and offered for probate. And there being no subscribing witness to said will or codicil, [[?]] W. Fisher, Benjamin T. Gunter and John W. Gillot made oath that they were each acquainted with the handwriting of the said George D. Hise, and that they believe that the whole of the said writing and the signature thereto, and the codicil thereto annexed and the signature to the aid codicil are in the proper handwriting of the said George D. Wise deceased. Whereupon the same are adjudged to be sufficiently proved, and the same are ordered to be recorded as the true last will and testament and codicil thereto, of the said George D. Hise deceased. And John J. Wise, the executor named as aforesaid, appeared in court, and relinquished his right to qualify as such. And thereupon, on motion of John J. Blackstone, taking Oath and giving Bond according to said, in the penalty of three thousand Dollars ($3,000.) in the John H. Gillot and James R Garrison, sureties thereto - Letters of
