Wise, with the consent and approbation of their creditors, have the honor to make application to you for the restoration of their property in Accomack & Northampton Counties, Va A similar application was made to the Hon. Mr. Risly, Supervising Special Agent of the Treasury Dept. on the part of the Agent of J. J. Wise & Geo. D. Wise, in the absence of these gentlemen from Virginia, also with the consent of the Creditors. These papers Mr. Risley has informed us he will refer to you. We submit, in addition to the papers above referred to the Certificate of the Oath of Allegiance taken by John J. Wise, marked A_ taken May 13th 1865. Affidavit of B. Gunter, marked B_ stating that J. J. White does not come under any of the exceptions in Presdt. Johnson's
