I respectfully ask to be resorted the possession of two (2) lots of land in the Town of Hampton in the County of Elizabeth City and State of Virginia.  The one is on Main Street in said Town and is the same one which the "Cosmopolitan Hall" stands, the other is situate on the same street and is bounded as follows:  King Street, Jones & Latimer.  There are no Freedmen living on either of the said lots of land.  I enclose herewith certificate of qualification as the Personal Representation of my deceased husband, Henry Whiting.
