Norfolk July 30th 66

Mrs Mary T Waller of the City of Norfolk State of Virginia. Makes the following Statement of Oath — That the House on Main St. Norfolk, belonging to her and charged on the Books of the Freedmans Bureau as abandoned property, has never been in the possession of the United States, has never been rented out by the U.S. or military authorities, that she has never been notified that the U.S. had any intention of taking possession. That she has rented out, and received rent for the House for the last four years and has been in quiet and undisturbed possession of the property during the same period.

I John E. Doyle an Alderman of said City in the State aforesaid do hereby certify that Mrs Mary T Waller of said City, well known to me, Signed and acknowledged the foregoing statement before me, and made oath, that all the facts & statements therein set forth are true —
