Dear Sir,
Be pleased to consider this my application for the restoration of my House and Lot on Middle Street in the City of Portsmouth. I am not embraced within any of the exceptions contained in the Amnesty Proclamation of President Johnson of May 1865.

Please find enclosed,
1st  Copy of my, oath. under the President's Proclamation.
2nd  Certificate of no proceedings had from the Clerk of the District Court, of the United States.
3rd  Certificate of Title from the Clerk of the Court of Hustings of the City of Portsmouth, and that the valued of my property, as shown by the books of the Assessor, does not amount to $20.000_
