Having been inployed in runing a saw mill for the fredmons beaureau for some months past and [[strikethrough]] And [[/strikethrough]] now see an act of congress to appoint agents for the releaf of fredman and refuges I have the Honor to apply for the countys of Northampton and Accomac eastern shore of Virginia.  I have proven my loyalty by serving in the U.S. army from the out break of the rebelion to the close of the war  if there is any further recommendation required I will send it from the officers I served under during the war
