V 506 R.F. & A.L. Vol 8, 1866 W. 704. R.F. & A.L. Va. Vol 4, 66 Richmond, Oct, 1st 1866. Virginia, O. Brown, Bvt. Brig. Genl. 362 Enter & return at once. Represents that the letter of Instructions in regard to the issue of Rations, from the Court, of date Sept. 27th, does not provide for issuing to others than freedpeople. States that it has been the practice of the Bureau to issue to such white persons as have become destitute during the War, by reason of adherence to the Union, and as such persons are continually calling for aid, enquires whether any relief can be afforded them.
