Sir,

On the 4th inst, I received from Edward J. Cushing, Esqr, a communication signed by yourself, and addressed to my brother Walter H. Wild, late Capt. 36th U.S.C.T. desiring him to furnish any information in his power respecting the having received from one Lewis Johnson, late of Co. "K" 1st U.S.C. Cav. $300.00. alleged by him "to have been placed in the hands of Capt. H.W. Allen, now of 36th U.S.C.T. for deposit in Norfolk Savings Bank."

You further request that in case he can give no information regarding the above he will send you the address of Edward A. Wild, late Brig. Genl. Vols.

I wrote my brother Walter, now temporarily at Springfield, Mass. in respect to the foregoing
