This Indenture made this the 10th day of February 1860 between E. J. W. Reed master of the poor of the County of Accomac of the one part Joseph Waterfield of said County farmer of the other part. Witnesseth that the said E. J. W. Reed master of the poor as a aforesaid acting with the allowance and approbation of the County Court of Accomac County and in pursuance of an order of said Court to that effect made and entered on the 26th day of September 1859. have put and bound and do by these presents put and bind Rosey Bevens (Free neggress) of said County who was on the day of the above order one year eight months & eleven days old as an apprentice to Joseph Waterfield to learn the trade business and art of house keeping & with him to dwell and remain until she the Rosey Bevens shall attain her full age of Eighteen years during all which time she the said Rosey Bevens her master faithfully shall serve and obey, his secrets keep and his lawful commands willingly do and perform and shall not absent herself from the service of her said master day or night without his leave but shall in all things as a faithful apprentice behave herself towards her master and all his family during the said term. And the said Joseph Waterfield in consideration of the faithful services to be performed by the said Rosey Bevens doth thereby covenant promise and agree with the said overseer and his successors in office the he the said Joseph Waterfield
