and those for Hewlitt proved nothing positively. Hewlitt admitted that Wilkinson had lived at another place during 1866 but claimed that he (def'n) had agreed to rent is (pltf's) place, and held him to the bargain. 

Wilkinson asks that the case be investigated by an officer and justice done him. 

Both Hewlitt & Wilkinson bear excellent reputations in the county and are generally respected . 

Def'n has already paid part of the judgement but his cart is advertised for sale for the balance & he asks that prompt interference be made.
