General
I sincerely regret that, owing to my indisposition which confined me for several days, I have been unable to consult my Co-Committee-men upon the project of the Soup House. & hear by the paper that you will put it in operation. I hope you will as I believe it to be the very best & cheapest charity investment. As soon as I can I will see my committee & if our Co-operation be needed or desirable I will endeavor to secure it.

Truly yours
