Official Copy resp'ty referred to Genl. O. Brown A.A.A. Genl.

Having heard repeated rumors of maladministration, and bad treatment of patients at Oak Grove Hospital I requested Lt. Yeckley to obtain if possible some reliable information bearing on the cause.

The statement of Asst. Surg. Brannan U.S.A., now stationed at Richmond, needs no comment. I have omitted a few lines containing remarks by young Stratton, the Doctors brother, acting Hospital Steward, reflecting unjustly on the School

over

teachers of this city. I believe it only requires for Surg. De Lamater to see this paper, to ensure prompt reforms
