with Larceny were committed Feby 6 1867. They all will be tried before the Circuit Court at the above time. 

"Robert Garrett" charged with Larceny committed April 2d 1867 and Jas. Clark upon the same charge committed Apr 3/67 have not as yet been indicted.

I found the cell of the two last named prisoners in a very filthy condition and one of them wearing shackles on his bare ankles.

Rd Gregory was in a very destitute condition, having scarcely sufficient clothing to cover his person.

The prisoners seem satisfied with the quantity of food allowed them and made no complaints, of the want of it.

From what I could observe I am of the opinion that the Jailor does not pay sufficient attention to his duties upon my arrival I found him absent having gone to Richmond, and
