Respectfully [[strikethrough]] for [[/strikethrough]] returned to Capt A S Flagg AQM Supt &c. A prior application, for amt of pay due (One hundred & Eighty dollars), was forwarded by me, and returned October 14./65 with the following endorsement from Capt Flagg AQM &c Viz. "From the accts of the auditor of affairs of the Dept on Eastern Shore it appears that no pay is due to applicant." Mr. Bartlett was engaged by Col. Kinsman a Supt of Mills and left Norfolk for E. Shore June 22 1864. I have set to Mr Bartlett his Power of Atty - Your Obdt Servt
