I was employed by J.B. Kinsman, then at the Fort, then I was turned over to George Carey and then in a few days I was turned over to Doct Henry who had my time and accounts in his books  I do not understand why Capt Flagg should say that there was nothing due, when I left Norfolk I gave Mr. Jackson a power of attorny to receipt and settle with Mr Flagg, please give this matter your attention at your earlyest convenience and much oblige yours
