Dr Sir yours of the 13th came to hand in due time Saying that I had not made any statement of the amt due me. I gave Col. Kinsman a bill then after I gave Maj. laswy a bill, the amt of my bill was for two months and twenty two days [[strikethrough]] at Seventy five dollars for W [[/strikethrough]] less eleven days in the time that I was there the mill was put up and from forty to fifty No. feet of lumber sawed, and more  [[/strikethrough]] ???[[/strikethrough]] than one hundred thousand cuts ready for the mill in the logs & I have but three colored men and one boy to assist me I think the mill was put up and put in motion as quick as any mill in the Gov't Service
