I have the honor respectfully to bring before your notice, the unjust decisions rendered by Mr. J.H. Gentry, a Magistrate of Chesterfield County Va (residing at Manchester.)

The colored people of that section evince a great reluctance on bringing their cases before him, as he almost invariably decides adversely towards them -

I cite three cases of his decisions in which I think injustice has been rendered.

On or about the 1st Inst, Adelaide Cheetham col'd, whilst passing through Manchester following her daily avocation of selling "Light-wood", and crying out such for sale
