the remarks of A A Surg G M Baker U.S.A.  The two horses belonging to the Ambulance were turned in: three horses will be sufficient for the ambulance and general teaming purposes for the Hospital at this place.  

Since the loss of teams and wagons the sanitary condition of the Hospital and its immediate vicinity has become so obnoxious that I am now temporarily hiring a team for police purposes. The within allowance of transportation requested is an absolute necessity
