Mr. Shackleford exhibited to me Cordelia's receipt for $75.00 Mr. Thompson's check payable to Mr. Henry Shackleford's order

So it appears, Geo. G. Thompson has paid $75, on the claim which was in 1861.

Mr. Shackleford states that the letter he wrote, was addressed to C. Stone, other and claim chgt. Washington D. C.

The nature of the proposition was that Cordelia should take the land back.

Thinking that the proposition referred to, had not reached the said Cordelia, when the case was submitted by the Solicitor of the Bureau, I herewith return the papers with reference to foregiving report and statements of Barbom and Thompson.

I am, Maj,
Very Respectfully,
Your Obt. Servt,
(Signed) W.A. Mac Hulter,
Bvt. Capt. & A. S. A. Comm.
