Richmond, Va.

Lieutenant
I have the honor to request Transportation from Kilby's Station on the R F & P R Rd to Richmond. Va. and admittance to hospital for Gabriel Jones, an infirm and destitute freedman. This man is very seriously affected with "gravel"; and the physician who has been attending him states that it will be hardly possible for him to recover unless he can have strict nursing, and more regular medical attention than it is possible to render him in his present condition.

Very Respectfully
Your obt srvt
