The building known as the "Chesapeake Female College," was not occupied by the Bureau during the time one half of said property was under my charge, Viz; from April 1st 1866, to July 18, 1866

During a portion of the summer of 1866, my family occupied six rooms in said building. At no time during the period charged for, was more than a sixth part of said building occupied by any person or persons, and the loyal owners, through their reputed representative Mr Raymond, were always in possession of one half of the Estate
