General,
In reply to your communication of the 18th inst, in relation to the discharges of One Clerk and Two Messengers from duty in the 3d Sub District, Bureau R.F. and A. Lands. I have the honor, after consultation with Bv't Cap't B.C. Cook A.S.A.C. for the Counties of Henrico & Chesterfield and the City of Richmond, to state that the services of the following persons, are the easiest dispensed with.-

Patrick O'Brian, Clerk
Robert Clark, Messenger
and from duty in the County of King William, the services can be dispensed with, of - Henry Littlepage, Messenger.
