Montgomery County to wit,

This day Volintine G. Akers made oath before me that he saw the grey horse (now in the care of Solomon Spangler) on the 13th day of April 1865 at the farm of Mr. John Gibson in said County. The horse at that time was completely broken down and extremely poor, he does not consider the horse as being of any value at that time; the hair in brand had at that time grown to full length. General Stoneman left the County of Montgomery on or about the 7th day of April 1865, having entered it on the 4th day of that month; and that he knows the horse now in the hands of Solomon Spangler
