Monroe and Archer know who killed Charles, "that it was not any white man", Monroe and my husband were not on good terms." Parish Harding the man that was last seen with Charles Arvin (the deceased) said "he came to Charles about a due Bill, and that Monroe and the deceased were not on good terms" Maria (the deceased's wife) said to me that the old man Harding knew all about the death of her Husband this woman Maria, the wife of the deceased, is a very bad woman, The deceased's Body was found close to where he (Chas) lived laid across a Bush, there were no marks of Blood on his Clothes, he was murdered close to old Archer Arvins House where he was last seen with Parish Harding. his Body was carried Some five Hundred (500) yards through a field of Oats and laid across the Bush near his own House, The tracks were traced from Archer Arvins House to where the Body was found. there were three (3) different tracks and different sized foot marks, The foot prints correspond with the size of Harding & Monroe's feet, but the heavy Rains had washed them so much that it was impossible to get a correct size.
